#KU4Dogs is my promise to give back to the pets that rescue us, one page at a time.
When you read one of my books through Kindle Unlimited, Amazon pays authors based on the number of pages read. Instead of keeping those royalties, I donate them to help animals waiting for a second chance.
Every month, I donate my Kindle Unlimited royalties, up to $100, to an animal shelter. I stick with each shelter until they've received at least a $100 donation, then move on to help another organization. If Kindle Unlimited doesn't quite get us there, or if a shelter has a minimum donation requirement, I cover the difference myself.
No extra cost.
No special fundraiser.
No hidden catch.
If you already have Kindle Unlimited, all you have to do is read.
Each month, this page will be updated with:
- Pages read
- Kindle Unlimited royalties earned
- The shelter receiving the donation
- Donation receipts whenever possible
Why?
Rescue dogs rescue people.
Dogs don't get to choose the circumstances they're born into. They rely on people willing to give them a second chance.
I know how much a second chance can matter...because writing gave me a second chance.
After years of struggling with addiction, both alcohol and other substances, I found purpose in telling stories. Writing gave me something to build toward, something to look forward to, and the clarity to become the person I wanted to be.
If my books can help provide food, shelter, medical care, or simply a little more hope for dogs waiting to find a home, then every page becomes part of something bigger than a story.
